Pre-wax Care
The hair needs to be around 1cm, so no shaving for 2-3 weeks prior to a treatment. If the hair is longer, just leave it – I can trim it in a way that ensures it is still long enough to wax. Make sure your skin is clean and lotion free.
Be careful you don't get sunburnt in the area you are hoping to wax in the week leading up to your treatment, and avoid sunbeds.
For best results, gently exfoliate 48 hours before your treatment. There are plenty of options for making an exfoliation scrub at home, such as: mixing 1/2 cup of used coffee grounds with 1/4 cup of coconut or olive oil and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar or sea salt.
Post-wax Care
It is super important to avoid heat, friction, sweat or bacteria on the skin for 2 days after a wax.
This means no: saunas, hot tubs or swimming pools; sex, touching or exercise; sun bathing or sun beds.
Avoid using any products or deodorant on the skin during this time unless it's an aloe vera gel, or antibacterial soothing crème.
For best results, start a gently exfoliation routine 3 days after your treatment. You could use a home-made scrup, (such as the one above), 2-3 times a week.
